The universe has heard me! Seeing the number of awesome food trucks popping up in Gurgaon, I always wanted one near my own place. Forklicious started serving just this August and I had been wanting to visit ever since I came across their Twitter page. The food is simple and pocket-friendly- perfect if you want to grab a quick bite or have something on the go. It begins service at 7PM everyday and stays shut on Tuesdays. Regular dishes are given a fun twist- for instance, the good ol' Mac n cheese finds it way into a sandwich while your favourite Oreo cookie gets deep fried. Curious, much? Read on!

The Mac n cheese Sandwich is that perfect comfort food you'd like on days when you're all snuggled up in bed! A generous stuffing of cheesy macaroni with oregano sits between perfectly crisp bread slices- I can have this everyday! I washed it down with some Mojito which was quite alright. I also ordered a Peach Iced Tea which was it just average. Even though the drinks failed to please me, I was still looking forward to the food.

Next up was Veg Poutin- french fries topped with cheese and a homemade vegetable gravy. While I loved the gravy, I missed having some salsa/mayonnaise on the side! The Veg Rice Bowl was delicious, it had the same gravy as Veg Poutin, along with pan fried cottage cheese slices. The rice looked as well as tasted pretty Mexican and would make for a nice, full meal. The Hash Brown Burger was my favourite of all- a simple burger with hash browns, lettuce, cheese and mayonnaise. It is pretty economical too- a fantastic snack at Rs. 45, I'd say.

It's a pancake, it's a waffle.. it's Baby Oreo! Any guesses where I am getting at? Baby Oreo is a genius idea- an oreo cookie dipped in gooey pancake batter and deep fried till its crisp enough to make your day- who can say no to THAT? Things are made even more intense by drizzlin' them babies with some chocolate syrup. Loved it!

Forklicious is pretty new and is still finding its way. The menu is very limited but has a good variety to choose from. I am definitely visiting again to try more of their burgers and sandwiches.

You can find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
