Recipe boxes from {Cook Gourmet}

I have to admit, I am not a great cook and this can be attributed to my perpetual laziness when it comes to doing ANYTHING in life. The most tedious task is to make sure all the ingredients are stocked in my kitchen, which is hardly ever the case. The second tedious task is to chop those damn vegetables - no matter how much finesse I try to fake, I am never really thrilled about the fact that my hands will smell of onion and garlic the whole day. True story.

More importantly, sparing so much time (and energy) to cook is not feasible in a routine like mine. So what happens, when your mom is out of town and you want to stick to something healthy and home cooked? You log on to www.cookgourmet.co, order your box of ready to cook ingredients and follow the simple recipe! A healthy meal is ready in less than 20-30 minutes, with considerably less energy and a lot less nagging. What's more? A meal box for two costs no more than 400-500 bucks! As part of an ongoing promotion, you can get the first recipe box for as low as Rs. 99- now's the right time, guys!

The recipe menu changes every week, so you have different vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to choose from. I ordered the Potato sliders and Veg Cheese Quesadillas to try my hands at simple, fuss-free gourmet cooking. The potato sliders came with 3 varieties of steak mixes , seasonings, barbeque sauce, buns, sliced tomatoes and cucumber. Assembling them was fun, but I wasn't too impressed with the taste. Cheese Quesadilla box came with tortilla, chopped veggies, salsa, grated cheese, Mexican seasoning and a smashing Tzatziki dip. Very easy to make and delicious too!

The ingredients arrived perfectly proportioned {and measured} and I was also very impressed with the neat packaging. You can also decide the time of delivery! Preparing both the dishes was very easy however, taste wise I liked the Quesadillas more than the sliders. I am looking forward to try out new dishes from Cook Gourmet soon! What about you?

  1. I do love the idea of a fun recipe box, saves me all the hassles of going wrong during measuring the ingredients. I'll surely try out this one soon.
