{NewInTown} : FLYP Cafe by Mtv

By 00:41 Monday, 14 December 2015 ,

Mtv has brought together food and music together through FLYP, a one of a kind cafe that can actually be your second home. You can spend an entire day here- work, chill, and play, as they put it. They've even got shower booths- no kidding. There's also a coworking space with WiFi {they're still figuring out whether it would be based on membership or not}, a cool stage for live performances where they plan to bring indie artists, well known singers and MTV coke studio sessions. Speaking of music, they have a recording studio where aspiring music artists can come, record and leave their music CDs- it is therefore a platform to discover new talent as well.

Chef Ranveer Brar has curated the very funky menu. It's got Indian dishes with a quirky twist- think rajma fries, stuffed eggs, chipotle paneer Tikka, gulab jamun cheesecake and more! However, the non vegetarians seemed happier. They have not gone over board with the presentation but there's a lot of drama around the dishes simply because of the combinations.

Best cocktail I tried was Boomboom from Thailand, a drink that is supposed to remind you of the rejuvenating Thai massages. With Cucumber juice as it's main ingredient- it was actually quite refreshing.

The prices are on the higher end but not crazy expensive- all cocktails would be under Rs. 350, an Mtv team member told me. I can't comment on that as I went to the launch party and don't know the prices yet.

It has been officially launched but will be fully functional around 25th December- Imma keep you posted!

Address: 57-60, N Block, Outer Circle, Connaught Place.
