Mother's Day dinner at Boombox Reloaded via Dineout

By 07:52 Sunday, 8 May 2016 ,

Where: Vishal Enclave, Rajouri Garden
Cuisine: North Indian, Lebanese, Asian, Italian
Cost: 1500 for two

Mother's Day came a day early for us as we celebrated it last night at Boombox Reloaded. My mom insisted that we dine some where close to home but new and her primary preference like always, was good North Indian food. Few scrolls and taps later on the Dineout App {one of the 3 food apps I use IN LIFE}, we found the perfect option. What's your mum's favourite cuisine? If you don't know the answer to this question yet- find it! Like Dineout says, it's time that you #KnowYourMom. The location, cuisine and cost filters on the app will help you further narrow down your ideal dining option.

I booked a table at Boombox just an hour before and was quite happy with the prompt confirmation from the Dineout Executive, given it was a busy Saturday evening. We chose to sit on the rooftop, it was definitely livelier than the indoor seating plus, the weather was quite nice. Nice music, not too loud, a mixed crowd of diners- old and young- overall, the place has got a very friendly vibe. We let my mom decide what to order and I am SO glad she went with Veg Seekh Kebabs first. They were super delicate, just the right amount of moist and had a nice crumbly texture. Next up, Chilli Soya Chaap is one for the spicy food lovers. The soya chunks and veggies in rich garlic barbeque sauce had a pleasant smoky aftertaste. The best dish of the evening was the Veg Peri Peri Pizza, the crust was beautiful- I hardly ever eat pizza without additional seasoning and ketchup, but this one needed absolutely nothing. Definitely a must-have!

Mains included Daal Makhni and Paneer Lababdar {we are vegetarians guys, what else do you even expect?} with a mix of breads. There aren't many North Indian curries on the menu to choose from but they've got the basics right. Paneer Lababdar was one of the best I've had and Daal Makhni, though a little heavy on cream, was rich with spices. Even though I was super full, I wish they had more dessert options- they have just three.

Overall, I had a pretty fine evening. Dineout also has certain deals and offers that you can avail while making the reservation. I got an additional 20% discount on the total bill. Since I paid using the smartPay option {that is, my Dineout credits}, I also got 500 credits {500 rupees} cash back- I ended up saving about 1100 bucks in the process- AND THAT IS THE REAL REASON I'm telling you to give Dineout a shot! How to earn credits, you ask? Pretty simple: Reserve a table and pay via the dineout app. Every payment entitles you to 20% cash back {upto 500 rupees} and that's how you can keep earning. So go ahead, book yourself and your mum a fabulous evening and be smart about it. Get the Dineout App here.

*Currently there are only limited number of restaurants listed on Dineout that accept payment via the smartPay option.
