India now has its very own 'Design Week', thanks to the annual India Design ID exhibition initiated by Ogaan Private Limited, three years agao. Just like its previous editions, this one too was a well-organised and a treat for the eyes. If you have even a little bit of inclination towards art, home interiors, or just creativity, India Design ID 2015 was the place to be. The exhibitions saw many new and established brands participating in the 3-day affair, while an impressive line-up of industry professionals delivered enlightening speeches to the visitors.

The platform comprised of three verticals: Exhibit ID, ID Symposium powered by Roca and ID Satellite. Exhibit ID exhibited the finest in home decoration, with high-end brands and designers unveiling their latest collections. ID symposium was the stop for presentations, discussions and debates over designs with an impressive line up of speakers from different walks of life. ID Satellite discovered the design districts of Delhi with promotions, collaborations and events across different venues through week long festivities at Lado Sarai, Meharchand Market, ShahpurJat, Defence Colony and MG Road.

Delhi's most loved cafes like Caara Café, Coast Café, Dunkin Donuts, Elma’s Brasserie, Guppy by ai, Jugmug Thela, Olive Bar and Kitchen, SodaBottleOpenerWala, What the Truck and more, had beautiful pop ups that totally wooed the foodie in me!

Even though most of the things were way too pricey for a student like me, there was no dearth of DIY inspirations. I came back with innovative uses of empty barrels, pipes, glass jars, pom poms, and what not! I was truly amazed at the display of creativity, the play of colours, and the expanse of imagination of these talented designers. Whatever I saw was not just an eye-pleasing candy for your home, but rather practically well-thought concepts.
