{ d'Mart Exclusif } : Worldwide Limited Edition
d'Mart Exclusif is a well known name when it comes to luxury home decor and lifestyle object d'art, owned and marketed by Dolphin Group. The brand comes out with breathtaking collections of silver, porcelain and marble figurines every year that are truly one of a kind and at par with the Italian standards of silversmithing. This time around, d'mart Exclusif has added a new range to its renowned Worldwide Limited Edition Collection, that showcases representations of Indian deities in Sterling Silver, Porcelain, Crystal, Bronze and Marble. The masterpiece of the range is the 'Panchmukhi Hanuman', a symbol of power, energy, strength and knowledge. This exquisite masterpiece has been Hand-crafted in 92.5% sterling silver, delicately embellished with swarovski crystals and gilded with gold decoration. The masterpiece along with a few other pieces from the latest range were recently showcased around the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya at the Bloggers Meet at d'Mart's GK, M-Block showroom in the capital. I had a close look at the collection while Mr. Praveen Rao, President, Dolphin Group explained to me the process and procedures that are involved in the creation of the art pieces. The very first step involves moulding, ie, sculpting of different components by hand. The moulds are then joined together and the sculpture is inspected closely- as it needs to be in accordance with the Hindu religious sensibilities. Once the whole mould is approved, the enamel and gold coating is done. So, the conceptualising, moulding, brushing and cutting, varnishing and colouring takes around 8 months on an average, more or less depending on the complexity of the piece.
