International food chains coming to India seems to be the latest fad- and hey, we are not complaining. Just when Burger King and Wendy's were close to gaining a firm standing in the Indian fast food market, enters Californian burger chain Carl's Jr. The question that was on everybody's mind, including ours was, "what's different?"

Let us start by telling you that the patties are chargrilled- not fried (do we hear a collective yum from all the non vegetarians?) and for vegetarians, there's a whole lot of tandoori goodness. The simplest of all, Achaari Aloo burger comes with a tangy potato tikki, a spread of mayo and some good ol' jalapenos- must try for the vegetarians. The mango jalapeno burger comes with a lip smacking mango sauce you can't afford to miss. Chicken Tandoori is a non-vegetarian's dream come true. For sides, apart from the regular fries, you can go for the wasabi variant or the Fenugreek Veg Strips. However, the Onion Rings beat everything!

Most importantly, there's beer! For all the other drinks, except beer, the restaurant has a filling station from where you can refill your soft drinks (and ice tea) as many times as you want. There's cheesecake for desserts and lovely, frothy pina colada, chocolate and strawberry shakes for those with a sweet tooth. However, we did miss our cold coffee but heard it would soon be introduced on the menu.

Do give this one a try whenever you decide to go for a stroll in the mall!
