Motorola India launched the 3rd generation Moto G in India, the phone is a big upgrade from the earlier Generation. Motorola aims to capture the mid range mobile market in India with Moto G which is cheap yet a powerful phone. The entire marketing campaign is based on how phones are our best friends- so, we need phones that can understand our needs. Moto G 3rd Gen aims at giving its users a convenient and very personalized Smartphone experience. Here's everything you need to know about the phone.

The 3rd Gen Moto G comes with a Qualcomm™ Snapdragon™ 410 Quad Core Chipset which is a tried and tested CPU, a 13 MP Camera, this is the same sensor as found in the Nexus 6, on the front is a 5MP Selfie cam to get you some clear, powerful selfies. The phone is equipped with a 5 inch clear and crisp HD Display, Dual SIM with 4G capabilities are on board, a Micro-SD Card slot.

The phone is IPX7 certified – which means it is water resistant up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, this is nice of Motorola to put in this to save the users from water spills and drops. Additionally, the phone has MotoDisplay which tells you about your notifications right on the lock screen without completely waking the screen, this helps save battery and informs the user about notifications and shows the time. It also has a karate chop shake feature which means phone can be shaken twice to turn on the flashlight, a neat feature and it also has the famous Motorola Twist for quick capture i.e. twist twice to fire up the camera and quickly capture a picture, twist twice again to switch to front camera and vice versa.

Also, the new Moto G has two variants, 8GB storage with 1GB of RAM and 16GB storage with 2GB of RAM both of which are available in Black and White colour options. The phone is definitely a worthy upgrade from the previous Gen Moto G as it now has water resistance, 2GB of RAM, Moto Actions, a larger 2470 mAH battery and the latest Pure Android Experience. Moto G costs Rs. 11,999 for the 8GB variant and Rs. 12,999 fro the 16GB variant, available only on Flipkart, so head there while stocks last.

Hi, guys! This is probably the first post on the blog that isn't written by me. Akshat- an occasional writer, tech-lover and my super-annoying brother- helped me with this one. We recently attended the new Moto G launch in Delhi and this post has everything that we gathered from there. P.S. We've ordered the phone for mom already!
