Black and bright {feat. Dandelion}

How can a working day that ends in your favourite park {or coffee shop} be bad? Have I just given out the secret of having ONLY good days? Maybe! For me these are the places where the noise is more than just a disturbance- it is part of the experience, it is a sign of awareness. I visit with no particular agenda but then of course, there's the thrill of sighting something beautiful, or the chance of spotting a stranger with that book I like, or maybe, in the middle of it all, the satisfaction of coming up with a new blog post idea.

This time, I'm taking you with me. Let's walk.

Outfit Details:

While there's no winning over a classic black dress, one day I found myself on a quest to find the perfect black jumpsuit for the season. Got my hands on this cut out black jumpsuit on Koovs- it appears like a two piece from the front but is actually attached from the back with a long zipper. Immediately after the purchase began my search for unique accessories. That's when I stumbled upon Dandelion, an e-label and shop which houses some amazing necklaces with natural stones and acrylic.

The first thing that caught my eye on Dandelion's Instagram page was a pink+blue+white long chain necklace with metal tassels! What really clicked with me, apart from the colour combination is the geometric-ness of it. Used it to create first look with the jumpsuit- threw on a scarf {picked it up from Sarojini} that followed a similar colour scheme and had a fluid fabric. I tied a knot near one of the ends of the scarf just because I can- ha!. I kept the colour of the shoes and bag {Lavie} black because I felt the outfit had got all the colours it needed. What do you think?

The minute I saw the second necklace- a semi-chunky double layered piece with marble-like cubes, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It was the first time I wanted to create an outfit around the accessory, usually it's the other way round. The black shirt holds the necklace perfectly- all I needed to do was close the top button, also letting the waist peek through. I've tried to brighten up the outfit a little more with the all-white envelope clutch {Koovs} and hoped that the coral lips subtly break the monochromatic-ness of it all. Did they?
