Plan your next brunch at Soho Bistro & Cafe

As someone who's always on the lookout for cute, instagrammable cafes, I was only too happy to visit Soho. Up until last year, I had only known of Blue Tokai and Rose Cafe in this rustic gully of Saket but the gradual boom of eateries in Saidulajab, which happens to be walking distance from my office, is spoiling the foodie {and instagrammer} in me to bits. After two satisfactory visits, I can definitely say Soho has the potential to become my regular post-work hang out place.

I happened to visit the cafe during day time and the vibe was super laidback, with beautiful natural sunlight pouring in and a playlist that filled me up with 90s nostalgia. But if you choose to go during evening, expect live singing, poetry readings, and hopefully, open mics soon enough.

Coming to the food, I started off with a Tomato and Burrata flat bread with the freshest cherry tomato, heavenly burrata, caramelised onions and basil, along with a light drizzle of balsamic redution. The combination just worked! I also got a Pomegranate and Mint cooler to go with it, mainly because it felt like the most appropriate mocktail to officially mark my first summer brunch! Next up, the fresh in-house Fettuccine in tomato and basil sauce was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. Truth be told, it is also why I'm writing this blog post in the first place: I just wanted an additional outlet for praising this soul-satisfying dish with the perfect sauce-to-pasta ratio. A special mention is also deserved by the multi-grain bread served on the side from this bakery called ME:ette. Soho keeps select baked goods from them on sale in case you're a bread-enthusiast like me.

I've had their wood-fired pizzas on a previous visit so let me just tell you to blindly order any of them, you won't be disappointed. My favourites include the classic Margherita and the Burrata and Rocket Leaves pizza

I wanted to try more from their menu {which includes a good selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches and the standard cafe finger food} but since I was pretty full I ordered the chef-recommended Hazelnut Cream and Berry pancakes to conclude the lovely afternoon. In came two fluffy yet super moist pancakes, stacked beautifully on each other with nutella oozing out from the middle and tangy strawberries on top. The nutella made up for the moderate sweetness in the pancakes perfectly, and the whipped cream just added to the richness!

Maybe it's the pretty interiors, or the brilliant service... or simply the comfortable floor seating with several boardgames at my disposal, Soho feels like the kind of place I can spend hours at. Already looking forward to my next visit at this fabulous cafe.
